The red-white cane and the sign language, main characters of the last Macaco’s music video.

On January 22nd, the musician Macaco released his latest music video of the song “Sign Languages”.

In addition to having one of our communication systems as main character of the song, the main actors of the music video are two deafblind people and the video starts with our red-white cane in the foreground.

We leave here the music video and, below, the song lyric.

Note: inform you that this lyric has been translated by FASOCIDE, trying to approach the Spanish meaning into the English.

LYRIC

Sign languages, languages of the soul
Sign languages, two quiet bodies, two talkative bodies

Hello, we create our own language
Who were going to tell me, sign languages, when your mouth skims mine
Talking nineteen to the dozen, through the skin by touching, through the pores
There’s no double meaning when the border of your lips touches mine.

You insist on the movement language
Following the track, monologue of attentive sighs
Emotions that speak over the memory of our thumbs
Without dots or commas, neither unequal stresses

Two mouths moving quietly, I told you with a thousand glances
I’ll remind you touching you as many times as necessary
Our language of signs doesn’t need words

Sign languages, languages of the soul
Sign languages, two quiet bodies, two talkative bodies
Sign languages, languages of the soul
Sign languages, two quiet bodies, two talkative bodies

Hello, your leg cross mine, my heart peeps out
Words are not enough when the heart feels overwhelmed
There’s no translation, love is not spoken
Love is made, a kiss will always have the right to interrupt the sentence
Two mouths moving quietly, I told you a thousand glances
I’ll remind you touching you as many times as necessary
Out language of signs doesn’t need words

Sign languages, languages of the soul
Sign language, two quiet bodies, two talkative bodies
Sign languages, languages of the soul
Sign languages, two quiet bodies, two talkative bodies
Si-si-si-si-sign languages moving, si-si-si-sign languages listen
Si-si-si-si-sign languages moving, si-si-si-si-si-s

Moans and sighs shrink thousand words
Marks are written when I bite you and you scratch me
Vocal cords run out of air
They took our speech, I look at you without seeing you, feelings shoot up
With one kiss you’ll know all I have kept quiet
I’d better not to tell you, I’d better do it
