International Cochlear Implant Day

Today 25th February takes place the International Cochlear Implant Day which commemorates the first time they put a cochlear implant in 1957.

Thanks to the heterogeneity of our collective, we also have many deafblind people with a cochlear implant which helped them to break down some of the barriers that we face every day.

We would like to take advantage of this day because it is crucial to highlight the cost of this implant and other technical aids that we Deafblind people have to bear. We have to keep in mind that these aids are very important to achieve equality.

We would like to wish you a happy day.
